Choosing the right photos when creating a photo album is crucial, and this remains true no matter the source: a mobile phone, a tablet, or a digital camera. Here are some tips to follow when selecting photos for your album:

1. Sort Your Photos in Advance

Choose and sort your photos on your computer before sending them to your creation software: otherwise, it will take you a lot of wasted transfer time

2. Eliminate Duplicate Photos

Too often, nearly identical photos are uploaded to the album and then go unused. Doing this preliminary sorting will also prevent you from choosing the "almost the same" photo which in the end was the worse one of the two!

3. Eliminate Blurry Photos

Check on your computer: if you see blurry photos, they will definitely be blurry in print as well! So, you can delete them without regret.

4. Choose Photos with Good Resolution

Photos taken with mobile phones (especially recent ones) are often of more than adequate quality. Not to mention cameras that always (or almost always!) take good photos. Ideally, choose photos that are over 1.5MB in size (visible on your computer), and absolutely avoid photos less than 500kB in size, the results will inevitably be disappointing once Printed in Europe.

5. Delete Dark Photos

If your photos are slightly dark, you can always review and edit them in the creation interface to try to improve them. However, it is pointless to waste your time on a very dark photo, as you will not achieve the desired result. Note that the same applies to overexposed, too pale, or overly contrasted photos.

6. Crop Your Photos

It may sound obvious, but it's important to highlight what deserves attention, the main subject (a person, a family, a place, etc.) rather than a tertiary element. This cropping can be done online in an "artisanal" way, but we recommend, if possible, to crop your photos before uploading them to the creation software.
