It's hot, the sun is shining, so we all have a fierce desire for a seaside holiday!

And what better way to capture all these great moments than taking lots of beach photos?

To succeed, we reveal some little secrets of photographers.

Vary the subjects of your beach photos

To avoid monotonous beach photos, vary the subjects. The sea, its waves, its calm, its crystalline waters: here are beautiful landscapes for your beach photos. But be careful! Make sure the horizon line is straight before you take your picture.

And don't forget to be attentive to the composition of your photo. Respect the rule of thirds. Two-thirds for the sky and one-third for the sea, for example (or vice versa). Rather than centering the main subject of your photo, place it a third to the right or a third to the left.

For beautiful portraits, especially of your children, think about getting down to their level. And be careful with the background because a parasol base or the picnic bag will not provide an ideal decor! Preferably choose a neutral and beautiful background.

Natural beach photos

On the beach, a lot of things are happening. So stay alert. Your kids play, build sandcastles, ball games are organized, surfers ride the waves. All these fleeting moments will be an opportunity for beautiful, dynamic, and lively beach photos.

To capture unique moments, try to catch your subject in a natural pose. Also do not forget all the natural elements that dot the beaches. Driftwood, seashells, footprints on the sand, stranded seaweed. They can lead to pretty artistic photos.

Under the sun exactly...or not

As with any outdoor photography, the sun is not necessarily our ally. So, we take our beach photos preferably in the morning before 11am or in the evening after 5pm. The light will be softer. If you decide to take beach photos outside of these hours, place your subject backlit and use the flash.

Protect your camera

Beach means sand, water and heat, of course. So think about protecting your camera. Do not leave your camera on your towel in the sun. Wrap it in a fabric and store it at the bottom of your bag. There are also waterproof cases that even allow taking underwater photos.

Now all that's left is to enjoy your well-deserved beautiful seaside holidays!
