It's quite paradoxical, but since June 28th, we have received numerous customer calls for our competitor MonAlbumPhoto. These follow the change of their software, and the subject of the calls is invariably the same: "With the software change at MonAlbumPhoto, I lost my photo albums, can you retrieve and print them?"
As our customer service is overwhelmed by these calls, here is a response in a few lines to save you time:
- Please know that this software change from Mon Album Photo is due to their acquisition by the Dutch company Albelli.
- The software change at MonAlbumPhoto has resulted in the irreversible loss of albums previously created on their site.
- Neither FlexiLivre nor any other competitor will therefore be able to recover your old albums and print them, unfortunately, you will have to recreate them if you were/are a customer with them.
- It is advisable to approach Mon Album Photo's customer service to see what solutions they can offer.
In general, the only conceivable possibility to be able to print an album following a change in third-party software (whatever the provider) would be to have previously retrieved an electronic version that would be commonly accepted by all, such as a PDF file for example. However, not all photo album software offers the possibility of saving your album in the form of a PDF file.
Similarly, during these calls, a question frequently comes up:
Could this happen to me with FlexiLivre?
No. In the past, we changed our software/application twice by changing technology, but we made the choice to make 100% of the albums printable, regardless of the technological evolution made. It will be the same for our next software update: all existing and already created albums will be compatible and can still be edited and printed.
